Government-Sanctioned Monopolies

As I've said many times before on SmokingAloud.com and this blog, "The ongoing anti-smoking campaign is not about public health, drug abuse, or teen smoking. What it is all about is money, control, and jurisdiction."

When doing some research earlier today on the "New World Order", I came across an article that described the same three things: Money, Control, and Jurisdiction in the broader context of Government-Sanctioned Monopolies.

These bonds between government and private international corporations are a double-edged sword. They come armed with government's power to tax, the government's power to enforce policy and the government's power to enforce eminent domain.
Freedom 21: The Principles of Freedom vs. Public/Private Partnerships

Money = government's power to tax
Control = government's power to enforce policy
Jurisdiction = government's power to enforce eminent domain
